3 Jul 1945 - Etta Wreidt (1859-1942) returns to the world of spirit. Etta was a physical medium however never went into trance and often participated in the discussions with the spirit people coming through.

3 Jul 1950 - Leonora Piper (1859-1950) passes into the world of spirit. Piper was predominantly a trance medium and was subjected to some of the most stringent testing over several decades by the Society for Psychical Research and the American Society for Psychical Research.

5 Jul 1849 - William Thomas Stead (1849-1912) was born in Northumbria, England. He was a successful and well respected journalist and staunch advocate for spiritualism. Stead died on the Titanic in April 1912.

7 Jul 1930 - Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle (1859-1930) died at home at the age of 71 years. A doctor and author, he was highly accomplished at everything he set his mind to. After WWI he championed the cause of Spiritualism at every opportunity.

9 Jul 1833 - Florence Marryat (1833-1899) born in Brighton, Sussex. Florence was a medium, author and actress. Florence was known for ability to read the spirit of living people.

10 Jul 1857/8 - William Eglington (1857-1933) was born in Islington, England. William was a physical medium and his séances had full materialisations and he was proficient in achieving full materialisations in light, including open air séances.

10 Jul 1872 - Marylebone Spiritualist Association is officially formed. It remained the Marylebone Spiritualist Association until 1955 when the name was changed to the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain (SAGB).

10 Jul 1909 - Ivy Northage (1909 2002) was born in the United Kingdom. She taught mediumship and established the Ivy Northage School for Mediums in the UK. Ivy delivered many inspirational and trance lectures.

16 Jul 1821 - Mary Baker Eddy (1821-1910) was born in New England, USA. She was a healer, teacher and author. By the time of her death in 1910 Mary Baker Eddy was the most recognised public figure in America and in 1995 she was elected into the National Women’s Hall of Fame.

24 Jul 1964 - Arthur Findlay OBE (1883-1964) passes into the spirit world. Findlay developed his interest in spiritualism after meeting the direct voice medium, John Sloane in 1919 and this sparked his interest into psychic research. Findlay’s home was Stansted Hall in Essex UK and at his death he bequeathed his mansion to the Spiritualists’ National Union and the Arthur Findlay College of Psychic Studies was established.

14 Jul 1840 - Annie Bright (1840-1913) was born in Nottingham, England. Annie was a journalist, author, lecturer, teacher and medium. She moved to Australia shortly after her marriage in 1864. In 1912 she published “What Life in the Spiritualist World Really is”. This was her final book and she received it directly from WT Stead who had already passed into the spirit.

20 Jul 1980 - Gerard Croiset (1909-1980) passes into higher life in Utrecht, Netherlands. He was a medium and is most remembered for his psychometry skills. It is documented that Croiset assisted Dutch police with investigations into missing persons and murder. Croiset was also a spirit healer and people would visit his clinic for healing.

23 Jul 1904 - Samuel Green (1841-1904) passes into higher life in Glenelg, South Australia due to heart disease. Samuel was born in Rutland, England and in the early 1860s he travelled to South Australia and was ordained in the Anglican Church in 1865. Samuel ran a Spiritualist circle with his wife, “a planchette medium”.

25 Jul 1848 - Arthur James Balfour (1848-1930) was born in Scotland. Balfour was the UK Prime Minister from 1902-1905 and had a strong interest in psychic research. Balfour served as President of the SPR in 1893 and then continued on as Vice-President for many years. Balfour lost the love of his life in 1875 and in 1912 he began receiving messages from her through various mediums. The SPR define this case as one of the most evidential on their records.

27 Jul 1916 - Rosemary Brown (1916-2001) was born. Rosemary received music compositions from long dead composers such as Brahms, Bach, Chopin, Beethoven. Rosemary was born into a family of psychics. She was 7 years when she had her first encounter with a “spirit” composer and she was also able to describe to her parents’ events that had taken place before she was born.

??? Jul 1980 - Grace Rosher (xxx – 1980) passes into the spirit world. Grace was a gifted automatic writer. She discovered her automatic writing skill following the death of her fiancé. The pen only had to rest lightly across Grace’s index finger and the nib of the pen on the paper, there was actually no need for her to physically hold the pen..
